The terminal of the north airport of La Laguna (Tenerife), a project by Antonio Corona, Arsenio Pérez Amaral and Eustaquio García Martínez, presents us with a sequence of laminated wood beams, covering the entire main space of the terminal, where the light takes center stage thanks to the skylights, which emerge from the wood like holes. This wooden framework is later supported by the large concrete crown that emphasizes its interior.

Tenerife North Airport blends into the surrounding landscape with its rounded shapes, like built hills, in dialogue with the sinuous silhouette of the mountains that surround it. The interior spaces offer the traveler a bright and warm place, in which their stay is pleasant since they can enjoy the magnificent views of the surroundings, both on the air side and on the land side, the suggestive perspectives of interior spaces bathed of light, and interconnected with each other, make the operation of the building evident from any point of observation.
The use of materials such as light-toned stone used in flooring and wall cladding; the lining of the walls and false ceilings, in panels with birch wood finishes in an equally light tone; and the exposed laminated wood beams reinforce the warmth and luminosity of the interior spaces. These materials contrast with the strength of the exposed concrete, which gives the building an important point of rotundity. The composition of the building is organized around a very representative central space, with a great visual communication illuminated from above that links all its levels.
