A large concrete structure dominated by the curved line is the only thing visible from the outside. “Since it is located on a plot outside the Guajara Campus, although close, we wanted to give it an enveloping sense so that the Faculty would have its own space,” explains Urbano Yanes, who adds that “it is like a mini-campus.” This is how the approach based on curved lines arose, a closed spiral circuit that gives that enveloping character.
A huge spiral walkway descends to the lowest floor, just the area where the common areas are to be located. Connected by corridors divided into two, glazed on one side and open to the lagoon climate on the other, the practical classrooms and workshops allow adaptation to space needs.
The complexity in terms of glass lies in the application of these to the pure curved lines of the project.
